My personal motivation to you
You breathe, walk, and talk. You sleep and get up every day. You either go to work or school. You do your daily tasks just like any other day. You go to church on Sundays (or when you get to it). You play a sport or have a special hobby you enjoy. You feel just as alive as everyone else around you, but are you really?
Physically, yes, you are a living man or woman traveling a path through this earth. You are making an impact. It may be big or small, but everyone is making some sort of influence upon other people's lives. As a Christian that influence should be positive. The way you live should look different. Don't let your Christian life become less meaningful. Become full of Christ; don't be lifeless.
You know what the lifeless Christians look like. They go to church. They say that devotions are great. They say God is good. They pray like everyone else. They look good until it comes to their outside world. At work you would never know the difference between them and the other coworkers. Outside of the church walls it's like the "Christian flashlight" is turned off till next Sunday. Maybe you are this way. Maybe you think, "Oh, I'm just saving my God battery for next week." or "Wow! that message was fantastic." and forget all about your faith.
Don't become a stale Christian. It's easy to go through the motions; it's not easy to give your life to Christ. How simple it is to say a prayer and tell yourself you're saved now! Now you can go on living your life how you want because you don't want to give ALL of it to God... just the parts that people are watching.
How lifeless can we get as Christians!?!?!
Living life for Christ should be a life full of energy. You have a purpose; pursue it through motivation. Be encouraged knowing that you have a home, and you are going to that home to be with your King someday! You are not home yet. You are on this earth to do business for God. Giving your life to God is just the beginning of a new life. Putting Jesus Christ as your Savior is sacrificing your life on earth to be lived for Him. He has given you a purpose. Live it out to the fullest.
Don't let temptations and downfalls hold you down. Don't fall away to what you need to be clinging to. Don't become bland to your faith. Don't become lifeless.
Be strong in the Lord! He will give you strength. He is the great provider. He is all-powerful! Being a Christian should be exciting. God has given you a reason and a way to go about your life. Is that not the greatest gift of all? He has given us life through a sacrifice of His son, and you're going to choose to not let that change you? He transforms our lives. The old man is dead; we are made new in Christ. Don't be a lifeless Christian! Let that fire you up to be a more excited Christian.
God has changed you! Let that be shown in every single crevice of your life. Tell others how He can change them too! Explode in your Christian faith. A purpose means everything. Have the motivation to tell others,
"I am alive in Christ!"
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body[a] and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.[b] 4 But[c] God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Hi, I am Michael Jaymes. I am 19, and decided to start to writing in the winter of 2017. I feel a burden on my heart that I have much to say, so why not share it? I want to be heard and I want to touch the lives of others. What is a better way than through the internet? I have made my life motto, "I just want to be a blessing." It's time for me to live it out.
