-Motivational Blog Posts To Encourage You To Stay On The Mainstream Path Of Faith-
This is going to be a different kind of post today. I was challenged to do this in high-school by a pastor, and have found it to be a great study. I plan to do it again, and now I am challenging you. Reader, that means you, don't push off my challenge. Please give this a shot, whether you read your Bible every day or have never touched one, take a moment to hear me out and try this. You will not regret it. If you take your time, you will complete this challenge in 21 days (8 verses a day)! It's really easy and doesn't take long. This is a great way to see the importance of the word of God. This is the Psalm 119 challenge. There are 176 verses in Psalm 119. The challenge is simple. You will basically be dissecting a verse. First, you will underline where it speaks of the word of God. (Whether it uses the word precepts, testimonies, statutes, commands, judgments, etc.) Basically anytime the passage uses a word that speaks of the words God has spoken, underline that word or phrase. Second, you will seek out the action the author is doing towards the word of God in the verse and take note of it. (Most of the actions are words like keep, learn, look, teach, etc.) You can put a box around this word or phrase. Lastly, you will now search for why the writer has wrote to do this action with the word of God. What is the reason? Highlight that reason. Some verses have this part; other verses do not. I will attach some photos of example verses I did in my Bible. I really hope you're not still reading this and thinking about not doing it. I'd recommend at least trying to do the first letter of the chapter. Oh.... if you didn't know, Psalm 119 is the longest chapter of the Bible. It is divided by the Hebrew alphabet of 21 letters. The first Hebrew letter would be Aleph. You should at least read and try to do the three steps to the first few verses under this letter. The whole point to doing this is seeing how highly important and superior God's words truly are in our life. Over and over again you will see how many ways the word of God can be described and how many actions we can apply towards it. I hope you take the challenge. Here are my examples. Let me know if you give it a shot! You got this!

AuthorHi, I am Michael Jaymes. I am 20 years old, and decided to start writing in the winter of 2017. I have always loved writing, and I get to pour out that passion in my blog. I want to be a motivation, an encouragement, and edify my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that come to MainstreamBlog. I have made my life motto, "I just want to be a blessing." This is where I live that out! Archives
