-Motivational Blog Posts To Encourage You To Stay On The Mainstream Path Of Faith-
It's a day late, but here's a poem I wrote on Christmas Eve. I hope you enjoy it and have a happy holiday.
What Christmas Means To Me
I come to you with news today.
Good tidings of great joy I will relay.
The Christmas story, have you ever heard?
The true story recorded in God's word.
It's about the boy born in a Manger.
To this world he was a stranger.
At this time there was silence on earth
Until this new born baby's birth.
This is not the story of an ordinary baby.
This is God's son, sent to save me.
Born of a virgin, how could this be?
Because the son of God had to be sin free.
If He was born from the seed of man
Sin would have ruined God's perfect plan.
Instead God chose the virgin Mary
And sent an angel to tell her whom she'll carry.
Mary said the angel's words were flawed,
But he reminded her that nothing is impossible with God.
Joseph planned a divorce when he found out,
But an angel in a dream removed his doubt.
Sure enough, Mary bore a son.
Prophecies were fulfilled; the Messiah had come.
The angel declared that they call Him Jesus
And that He was the one sent to save us.
Remember I said, "He was sent to save me"?
That's because God planned for Jesus to be
The spokesman, a servant, the only way,
The door, the deliverer, and the sacrifice paid.
You see, Jesus lived as a perfect man.
He's the only one that could fulfill God's plan.
The price of sin was high to pay,
But my Savior, Jesus, paved the way.
He faced His fate; He lived perfectly.
He was sinless all the way to Calvary.
He was dying, hanging, on a tree,
But I know He did it all for me.
Dead and cold my Savior laid.
In the grave he laid for three days.
He has risen! Can it be?
Oh grave, where is thy victory?
He took my sin to the grave,
And now my soul he has saved.
This is why Jesus was sent:
He came and died for the punishment
That sin had put upon our soul
So we can then again be whole.
Do you now see why I celebrate Christmas?
It's not for money, toys, or other presents.
I'm reminded of His birth,
A gift with priceless worth.
Because of Jesus being gifted,
Now my burden has been lifted.
This story is what makes Christmas true.
I pray that God gives this gift to you.

Hi, I am Michael Jaymes. I am 20 years old, and decided to start writing in the winter of 2017. I have always loved writing, and I get to pour out that passion in my blog. I want to be a motivation, an encouragement, and edify my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that come to MainstreamBlog. I have made my life motto, "I just want to be a blessing." This is where I live that out!
